Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez recently attended the Captain's Meeting for the 7th Annual FWC Officers Association Dolphin Fishing Tournament, joining conservation officers, community leaders, supporters, and participants in advance of one of the organization's signature events.

The tournament serves as more than a fishing competition. It is an opportunity to recognize and support the men and women of Florida's conservation law enforcement community who work every day to protect the state's natural resources, waterways, and outdoor heritage.

"Florida's conservation officers play an important role in protecting our environment and keeping our waterways safe for future generations," said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. "Events like this provide an opportunity to recognize their service while bringing the community together in support of a great cause."

Fernandez thanked Captain Rafael Almagro, Willie Almagro, Nelson Landa, and the entire FWC Officers Association team for their leadership and commitment to supporting conservation officers and their families.

As Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, Fernandez emphasized the importance of supporting organizations that honor public service and strengthen community partnerships. He noted that the dedication of Florida's conservation officers helps preserve the natural resources that residents and visitors enjoy throughout the state.

The event highlighted the strong connection between conservation, public service, and community engagement while celebrating those who dedicate their careers to protecting Florida's natural treasures.
