Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez traveled to Panama to participate in a special Fourth of July celebration commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the United States, joining American and Panamanian leaders in honoring the enduring friendship between the two nations.
Hosted by U.S. Ambassador Kevin Marino Cabrera, the celebration brought together government officials, diplomats, business leaders, and distinguished guests to recognize the values of freedom, democracy, and opportunity that have united the United States and its allies for generations.
Fernandez attended the event alongside his wife and expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to celebrate this historic milestone while strengthening the bonds between Miami-Dade County, the United States, and Panama.
"It was an honor to celebrate America's 250th Anniversary in Panama alongside friends and leaders who share our commitment to freedom and democracy," said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. "As someone who came to the United States seeking opportunity, this celebration carries a deeply personal meaning. The freedoms we enjoy today are worth protecting, and the friendship between our nations continues to create opportunities for future generations."
During the event, Fernandez thanked Ambassador Kevin Marino Cabrera for his leadership, friendship, and invitation, and expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of Panama for its warm hospitality and continued commitment to strengthening the relationship between both countries.
Fernandez also had the opportunity to greet President José Raúl Mulino and thank him for his leadership and commitment to fostering the longstanding partnership between Panama and the United States.
