Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Celebrates Student Joel Sanchez’s Winning Achievement in the 2026 Kids Tag Art Competition

Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez recognized Joel Sanchez of E.W.F. Stirrup Elementary School for being named one of the winners of the 2026 Kids Tag Art Competition, celebrating a remarkable achievement that highlights the creativity and talent of Miami-Dade students.

The Kids Tag Art Program is a statewide educational initiative that encourages artistic expression, creativity, and civic engagement by giving students the opportunity to design specialty license plate artwork while learning about the importance of community involvement.

Joel’s winning design stood out for its originality, imagination, and artistic excellence. Fernandez praised Joel for his hard work and dedication, noting that his accomplishment serves as an inspiration to students throughout Miami-Dade County.

“Programs like Kids Tag Art help students discover their talents, express themselves creatively, and gain confidence in their abilities,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “We are proud to celebrate young artists like Joel who represent the bright future of our community.”

Fernandez also recognized teacher Monica Ferrer for her dedication to encouraging and supporting young artists. He emphasized the important role educators play in helping students develop their talents and pursue their goals.

In addition to celebrating this year’s winners, the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office proudly contributed $20,000 toward local arts education initiatives, helping expand opportunities for students and support arts programs throughout the community.
