As families across Miami-Dade prepare for the start of a new school year, the Office of the Tax Collector, led by Dariel Fernandez, has proudly stepped up to support students and parents alike through meaningful community engagement.
Our Tax Collector team was honored to participate in Hialeahâs Back-to-School Bash & National Night Out, a vibrant gathering that brought together hundreds of residents and numerous community partners. The event served as a joyful celebration of unity, safety, and education.
âWeâre committed to ensuring every family in our community has the support they need to start the school year strong,â said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. âEvents like these help us build trust, connect with residents, and remind students that their success is our shared priority.â
A special thank you to the City of Hialeah for hosting such a welcoming event, and to all the families who came out to join us.

The Office of the Tax Collector also proudly supported Voices For Childrenâs Back-to-School Donation Drive, providing essential school supplies to children and youth in foster care throughout the county.
âOur entire team came together to make a difference,â shared Tax Collector Fernandez. âEvery child deserves the chance to learn and grow in a supportive environmentâregardless of their circumstances.â
We extend heartfelt gratitude to Kadie Black and the Voices For Children team for their tireless advocacy and impact. It is an honor to stand alongside you in supporting Miami-Dadeâs most vulnerable youth.
