Students Explore Government and Public Service During Downtown Office Visit
Welcoming students into our offices and giving them a closer look at public service is always meaningful. The Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office was proud to host Ms. Patricia Fairclough and students from George Washington Carver Elementary School during their visit to our Downtown Miami office.
During their visit, students had the opportunity to learn more about government, leadership, and the important services our office provides to residents throughout Miami-Dade County. The experience offered a firsthand look at how public servants work every day to support the community and deliver essential services.
Educational visits like these help inspire civic engagement, encourage leadership, and introduce young students to the many ways they can make a positive impact in their communities. By connecting classroom learning with real-world experiences, students gain a better understanding of how local government operates and serves the public.
“It is always rewarding to welcome students into our offices and share the importance of public service,” said Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “We hope experiences like these inspire the next generation of leaders and encourage them to become active participants in their communities.”
The Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office remains committed to supporting educational outreach initiatives that help students learn about government, civic responsibility, and leadership opportunities available throughout our community.
