Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Participates in Ark of the City Christmas on 15th Avenue Festival

Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez joined community leaders, families, and volunteers at the Ark of the City Christmas on 15th Avenue Toys, Parade & Festival, an annual event that brings holiday cheer and support to children and families in Miami’s inner-city neighborhoods.
The event, organized by Ark of the City in partnership with the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County, provided toys, activities, and a festive atmosphere for families while highlighting the importance of community-based organizations in creating opportunity and hope for local youth.
“As a public servant, it’s important to support organizations that are making a real difference at the neighborhood level,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “Ark of the City has a long history of stepping up for children and families, especially during the holidays, and I’m proud to stand with them and the work they do year-round.”
During the celebration, Fernandez also presented an Honorary Citation to Mr. Terry Elliott Sr. and his wife, Sherria Elliott, in recognition of their longstanding leadership and commitment to serving the community through Ark of the City. Their efforts have helped strengthen families, support youth, and expand access to resources for those who need them most.
The Christmas on 15th Avenue festival continues to serve as a reminder of how collaboration between community organizations, local government, and volunteers can bring meaningful support and joy to families across Miami-Dade during the holiday season.
