Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez welcomed Lauren’s Kids founder Lauren Book to the newly opened Miami Beach office to highlight their shared commitment to protecting children, raising awareness, and strengthening communities across Florida.

Lauren’s Kids has become a leading voice in the fight against child sexual abuse through education, prevention, advocacy, and support for survivors. During the visit, Fernandez and Book discussed the importance of continuing to expand awareness efforts and promote initiatives that help keep children safe while providing hope and healing for families affected by abuse.

“Protecting our children is one of the most important responsibilities we share as a community,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “I am proud to support the mission of Lauren’s Kids and the incredible work they do every day to educate families, empower survivors, and prevent abuse before it happens.”
