Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez Attends U.S. Southern Command Community Leaders Event
Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez attended the Command Community Leaders Event at United States Southern Command, joining community leaders, military officials, and local stakeholders for an important discussion focused on leadership, national security, and regional cooperation throughout the hemisphere.
During the event, attendees heard directly from General Francis L. Donovan, Commander of U.S. Southern Command, who shared insights on the importance of security, partnership, and collaboration in protecting the interests of the United States and strengthening stability across the Americas.
Fernandez also had the opportunity to present General Donovan with an Honorary Citation recognizing his distinguished military service, leadership, and commitment to defending the nation and upholding the democratic values that define the United States.
“General Donovan’s leadership reflects the highest values of service, integrity, courage, and patriotism,” Fernandez said. “It was an honor to participate in this important gathering and recognize a leader whose dedication continues to strengthen our nation and inspire future generations.”
