Cafecito Connection and Café con Chamber Join Forces in Coral Gables

The Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office, led by Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez, partnered with the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce to present a joint edition of their popular community series: Cafecito Connection, andtheir counterpart, Café con Chamber.

The event took place at Coffee for the Soul, a charming Coral Gables café celebrated for its freshly baked goods and warm ambiance—creating the perfect setting for meaningful conversations.

“This morning, I had the pleasure of joining the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce for this special collaboration of our Cafecito Connection and their Café con Chamber series,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “It was a great opportunity to connect with local business owners, share ideas, and continue building a community rooted in trust and collaboration. Open conversations like these strengthen the relationship between public service and small business.”

The joint Cafecito Connection x Café con Chamber highlights the commitment of both organizations to foster strong partnerships and create open forums where residents and businesses can engage directly with civic and community leaders. We had the opportunity to connect and answer many questions of residents and local entrepreneurs who wanted to know more about their Business Tax Certificate and the services we provide at the Office of the tax Collector.

This meeting takes place only three days after the Office of the tax Collector, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the much anticipated Coral Gables Tax Collector's Office at 224 Minorca Avenue. A branch office with 6 service windows and a state-of-the-art queuing system capable of processing transactions in record times for the convenience and efficiency of residents.
