The Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector, led by Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez, has completed its first property tax distribution of the new fiscal year, totaling more than $58.9 million in revenues collected through October 31.

These early payments mark the start of the 2025–2026 property tax cycle and play a crucial role in ensuring that local governments, schools, and special districts continue providing essential public services without interruption.

“Our priority is getting these funds where they’re needed most, quickly and responsibly,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “These distributions help keep our schools open, our neighborhoods safe, and our county moving forward. We are proud to deliver these funds efficiently and with complete accountability.”

Of the total amount distributed, $11,129,658.29 went to municipalities, $16,509,201.57 to the Miami-Dade County School Board, and $31,326,854.38 to the County Clearing Account, supporting essential countywide operations and services.

For context, during the previous fiscal year, the Tax Collector’s Office distributed more than $10 billion in property tax revenues to local governments and taxing authorities across Miami-Dade County,  funds that keep schools, public safety departments, and infrastructure running smoothly.

The Office of the Tax Collector will continue issuing distributions throughout the tax season as payments are received, with updates shared publicly to keep residents informed about how property tax collections support vital community programs and services.
