The office of the Tax Collector is proud to partner with the Miami-Dade County Public Library System to celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month throughout September. Staff members were present at our Midway Crossings Tax Collector Office on September 24 and at our Downtown Office on September 26 to help residents sign up on the spot.

As part of this initiative, we welcomed library staff into our offices to encourage and facilitate sign-ups for residents, making it easier than ever for residents to access the countless resources available at our public libraries. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to improving quality of life by turning every government visit into an opportunity for growth and connection.

“True public service means working together to open doors for our residents and families,” said Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez. “By partnering with our library system, we are ensuring that every trip to our offices can be both productive and empowering.”

We encourage County residents to sign up for a library card and take advantage of the endless opportunities available — from free books and e-books to educational programs, technology resources, and community events that enrich daily life in Miami-Dade.
