Miami-Dade Community Honors the Life and Service of Deputy Devin Jaramillo at Kendall Station

Miami-Dade County residents, law enforcement officials, and community leaders gathered at Kendall Station to honor the life and legacy of Deputy Devin Jaramillo, a young officer whose courage and service left a lasting impact on the community he protected.
The ceremony brought together Deputy Jaramillo’s family, members of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, first responders, and residents who came to pay their respects and reflect on the values he represented. A memorial was unveiled in his honor, serving as a permanent tribute to a life defined by bravery, duty, and a deep commitment to protecting others.
Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez attended the ceremony to stand alongside the community and the law enforcement officers who served with Deputy Jaramillo.
“Deputy Jaramillo represents the very best of our community,” Fernandez said. “He wore the badge with courage and with honor. Today we stand with his family, with our deputies, and with every first responder who puts their life on the line to protect others. His sacrifice will never be forgotten.”
The memorial now stands at Kendall Station as a place of reflection and remembrance, ensuring that Deputy Devin Jaramillo’s service and sacrifice continue to inspire Miami-Dade residents and future generations of first responders.
